Gulf-South Summit 2018

Please note two important deadlines regarding award nominations (October 20, 2017) and proposal submissions (October 27, 2017) for the 2018 Gulf-South Summit.

Hosted this year by the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham-Southern College and Samford University, the summit's theme, Changing the Narrative: Storytelling as Social Action, aims to create space for dialogue and innovation while bringing awareness to best practices in service-learning and civic engagement through higher education.

Pre-summit workshops will be offered the afternoon of April 4, 2018. We are also excited to announce our keynote speakers soon, so stay tuned. For a comprehensive list of key conference deadlines, click here.
