The Office of Global and Community Engagement includes the Language Partners, Global Café, Tuscaloosa’s Many Voices and other collaborations with our international community. Through the Language Partners program, participants of all ages practice English language conversation skills, discuss their experiences living in the U.S., and share cultural insights. Global Café events offer a space for international residents to interact with UA students, faculty, and staff.

Global Café offers a space for international residents to interact with UA students, faculty, and staff. All are welcome at Global Café events to learn about living in Tuscaloosa, ask questions and share experiences, and just hang out together for fun!

Our Language Partners Program offers free, one-on-one English language conversations, help in filling out forms, mastery of a specialized vocabulary, or whatever you need in the way of English language assistance.

Tuscaloosa’a Many Voices is a one-day summit meeting to bring together stakeholders and participant organizations who interact closely with international residents in our area.  This meeting will launch an ongoing organization—the Tuscaloosa’s Many Voices network.
