The 2024–2025 FAFSA will open in December 2023.

Create your FSA ID!
What will you need to complete the FAFSA?
Social Security Number or Alien Registration Number if not a US citizen
Federal Income Tax returns, W2, other records of money earned
This year you will be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Direct Data Exchange (DDX).
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)

Alabama seniors must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for high school graduation.
